Taylor Kurilew, holds a Bachelor in Music Education from Montclair State University and an MM in Voice Performance from Rutgers University. Highlighted roles include-“Emmie” in Albert Herring, “Polly” in The Threepenny Opera, “Miss Ellen” in Lakmé and the “Plaintiff” in Trial by Jury. She has done shows with Plays in the Park in Edison, NJ (Fiddler on the Roof and Evita) and has attended the Westchester Summer Vocal Institute in NY and "Opera Ischia”, for advanced soloists in Italy. She recently sang as a choir member doing Carmina Burana with Somerset Hills Choir under Stephen Sands and Mahler 3 with NJSO under conductor Xian Zhang. In April of 2023, she had the privilege to sing with a choir composed of singers from all over the nation with DCINY at Lincoln Center under renowned composer and conductor, Eric Whitacre where she also sung the solo in his famous choral piece "Lux Aurumque". Taylor studies voice with Lauran Corson, founder of Light Opera Company of NJ and teaches K-5 General Music and Choir at Cedar Hill School in Basking Ridge, NJ. She teaches voice privately and performs in the Central Jersey area.
